I am anxiously awaiting the delivery of my shiny new Olympus E-620 camera! Even though I am sure we can't afford such luxury in the aftermath of house extensions, my husband said it can be my Xmas and birthday gift. I am delirious! I have been lusting after a DSLR camera for years and never been able to justify the cost. We have a perfectly adequate 4MP Kodak camera for family photos and a rather nice Sony DVR for movie taking. But the DSLR is purely a toy for me; birds and landscapes and eventually macro. I can hardly believe it! Did I mention it has a twin lens kit too?

FINALLY!!

My camera arrived yesterday, more than two weeks after I ordered it. I am so happy, and completely overwhelmed. This thing is seriously smart. I think it may actually be able to make a souffle, I just have to find the right button for that.

Anyway, once I get the hang of everything, I will sit on my deck and take photos of birds
